Plot summary
Dowanhowee, a Native American woman, is running from the Dutch Wilder Gang, a notorious band of violent outlaws. She escapes into the uncharted Black Wood Forest, and the outlaws follow her in. They force her to lead them through the treacherous woods in search of a fortune in gold. In the trees, without knowing what they have done, the gang wakes the Wendigo, an ancient and bloodthirsty creature that means to kill every one of them. Once they are inside the forest, Dowanhowee and the men chasing her find that they have to help each other in order to survive.
