Ronan Vibert

Ronan Vibert was an English actor who worked across theater, radio, television and film. Born in Cambridge and raised in Penarth, South Wales, he trained at RADA, graduating in 1985. His television work included Lovejoy, Between the Lines, The Buccaneers, Cadfael, Inspector Lewis, Van der Valk and Jeeves and Wooster, and he played Maximilien Robespierre in the BBC's The Scarlet Pimpernel. On stage he appeared at venues including the Bush Theatre, Hampstead Theatre, the Manchester Royal Exchange, Bristol Old Vic, the Barbican for the RSC and the Almeida, and in 1996 he played Prince Andre at the National Theatre in an adaptation of War and Peace. His films included Shadow of the Vampire (2000), The Cat's Meow (2001), Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (2003), Tristan + Isolde (2006), the Oscar-winning The Pianist, Saving Mr. Banks (2013) and The Snowman (2017). He also appeared in Rome, The Borgias, Hatfields and McCoys and Penny Dreadful.
