Biography

Robert Carricart was a French-American actor who worked in film, television and the theater. Born in Bordeaux, he studied at the Dramatic Workshop in New York and began his acting career on Broadway in 1947 as Thyreus in Anthony and Cleopatra, with further stage work in King Richard III, Captain Brassbound's Conversion and The Rose Tattoo. He moved into screen acting in 1950 and became a familiar guest star on series such as Perry Mason, Bonanza, The Untouchables, Get Smart and Columbo. He was best known for playing Pepe Cordoza, the nightclub owner, in the action drama T.H.E. Cat. His films included Fun in Acapulco (1963), Follow That Dream (1962), Robin and the 7 Hoods (1964) and Villa Rides (1968).
