Patrick McVey
Biography
Patrick McVey was an American actor who moved from law to acting, beginning in little theater before training at the Pasadena Community Playhouse. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, he made uncredited film appearances starting in 1941 and later took supporting roles. He became best known on television, starring as Steve Wilson in the newspaper drama Big Town from 1950 to 1954, then as Lieutenant Colonel Wesley Hayes in Boots and Saddles from 1957 to 1958 and as reporter Ben Andrews in Manhunt until 1961. He guest-starred on many series and appeared on Broadway in Camino Real and The Time of Your Life. His film work included The Detective (1968) and Bang the Drum Slowly (1973). He died in 1973.
