Neil Flynn

Neil Flynn is an American actor and comedian who spent the 1980s performing with Chicago comedy troupes before landing his first screen role in Major League (1989). In the 1990s he took supporting parts in Rookie of the Year (1993) and The Fugitive (1993), and he also appeared in Magnolia (1999). He voiced XR on Buzz Lightyear of Star Command from 2000 to 2001, then had his breakout as the Janitor on the medical sitcom Scrubs from 2001 to 2009. He later had roles in Mean Girls (2004), Hoot (2006), and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008). From 2009 to 2018 he played Mike Heck on The Middle, which brought a Critics' Choice Television Award nomination in 2016. Later credits include The Resurrection of Gavin Stone (2017) and the sitcom Abby's (2019).
