Plot summary

Kal-El is sent from the doomed planet Krypton as an infant and raised on Earth by farmers Jonathan and Martha Kent, who name him Clark. As a young man he interns at the Daily Planet in Metropolis and keeps his abilities secret, known to the public only as the Flying Man. At the launch of a LexCorp orbital telescope meant to seek out other life, reporter Lois Lane exposes negligence at the company, and its chief executive Lex Luthor is arrested. Clark befriends Rudy Jones, a S.T.A.R. Labs janitor who describes experiments there on extraterrestrial material. When the rocket falls back toward the city, Clark catches it, unaware that a figure in a trench coat is watching. S.T.A.R. Labs then detects a UFO, and the alien bounty hunter Lobo arrives in Metropolis with a bounty on Clark.
