Nan Grey
Biography
Nan Grey was an American film actress who began her screen career in the mid-1930s after a screen test led her into pictures. Born in Houston, Texas, she was the daughter of a stage actress, and she trained at the school Universal Studios ran for its contracted children. Her debut came in 1934 in The Firebird, and she starred opposite John Wayne in Sea Spoilers in 1936. She became familiar to horror fans through Dracula's Daughter (1936) and The Invisible Man Returns (1940), and she appeared in the musical comedy Three Smart Girls (1936) and its 1939 sequel, Three Smart Girls Grow Up. On radio she played Kathy Marshall in the NBC soap opera Those We Love from 1938 to 1945, and her only television appearance was a 1960 episode of Rawhide. She died in 1993.
