Julie Cox

English actress Julie Cox began appearing on screen in the mid-1990s. Born in Ely, she played the Childlike Empress in The NeverEnding Story III (1994), then portrayed Diana, Princess of Wales in the 1996 film Princess in Love. In the 1997 version of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, she appeared as Sophie Aronnax, and in 1999 she was Giulietta in the screen adaptation of Alegría. On television she was Princess Irulan in the Sci Fi Channel miniseries Frank Herbert's Dune and returned for Frank Herbert's Children of Dune (2003). In Second in Command (2006) she acted opposite Jean-Claude Van Damme, and in 2007 she took the principal female part in The Riddle. She played Beth Eagleton in The Oxford Murders (2008). Her voice work includes playing a fictionalized Mary Shelley, companion to the Eighth Doctor, in Big Finish Productions Doctor Who audio dramas such as The Company of Friends (2009) and Army of Death (2011).
