Julian Holloway

Biography

Julian Holloway was an English actor. Born in Watlington, Oxfordshire, he trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and graduated in 1963. His first major role came in the 1962 and 1963 television season of Our Man Higgins, and he later appeared in eight Carry On films between 1967 and 1976, along with a Carry On Christmas television special. His films included Young Winston (1972), Porridge (1979), The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle (1980), A Christmas Carol (2009) and The Rum Diary (2011). On television he also appeared in The Sweeney, Elizabeth R, Minder, The Professionals, Beverly Hills, 90210 and the Doctor Who story Survival in 1989. He worked widely as a voice artist, mainly in the United States, voicing Captain Zed, Bradford Milbanks in James Bond Jr, Siegfried Fischbacher in Father of the Pride and Death in Regular Show. He died in 2025.
