Plot summary
A man jogging through London collapses and wakes in a hospital bed to find that his right leg has been amputated. In an unnamed Eastern European dictatorship, the intelligence agent Konratz knows about a top-secret file called K-718 that only his superiors are supposed to see. In London, Detective Superintendent Bellaver investigates the killing of Eileen Stevens, a young woman who worked for the research scientist Dr. Browning, who has no idea who would want her dead. When another woman is found with her throat slashed and her body drained of blood, and Bellaver learns both victims were picked up at the same disco, he sends policewomen into the club to lure the killer. The forensic pathologist Dr. David Sorel assists the inquiry.

Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Scream and Scream Again (1970)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- The film's villains were going to be revealed as aliens in the climax, but all connections to that were cut before release, leaving their backgrounds unexplained; edits also cut scenes of Julian Holloway and David Lodge as police detectives, though both are still listed in the credits.
- It marked the first time horror icons Peter Cushing, Vincent Price and Christopher Lee appeared in the same feature film, yet they share no screen time: Cushing's cameo is with neither Lee nor Price, and Price and Lee share only a brief scene in the climax.
- Director Gordon Hessler said screenwriter Chris Wicking raised the throwaway pulp source novel to a new level by turning it into a political story about what might happen in the future, and credited him with making the picture.
