Judith Roberts

Judith Roberts is an American actress who has worked in film, television and theater. Born in 1934 in the United States, she made her screen debut in a supporting role in John Cassavetes's Minnie and Moskowitz (1971). Her first notable film part was the Beautiful Girl Across the Hall in David Lynch's Eraserhead (1977), and she later appeared in Woody Allen's Stardust Memories (1980). She played Mary Shaw in James Wan's Dead Silence (2007), Judge Shaw in Death Sentence (2007), and appeared in The Nanny Diaries (2007). Roberts built a long stage career in Off-Broadway, Broadway and regional productions, making her Broadway debut in 1996 in Present Laughter. On television she had a recurring role on Orange Is the New Black in 2014 and shared a Screen Actors Guild ensemble award. She earned a National Film Awards UK nomination for You Were Never Really Here (2017) and later starred in The Last Thing Mary Saw (2021).
