Jimmy Hunt
Biography
Jimmy Hunt was an American film actor and child star who made 35 movies between 1945 and 1953. Born in Los Angeles, he started in films as a boy and became best known for his part as David in Invaders from Mars (1953). His other screen credits included Sorry, Wrong Number (1948), Pitfall (1948), The Mating of Millie (1948), Cheaper by the Dozen (1950) and She Couldn't Say No (1954), and he acted opposite Gigi Perreau in several films. He stopped acting as a teenager and retired from the screen at 14, later serving in the U.S. Army and working in sales in the aerospace industry. In 1986 he returned to acting in Tobe Hooper's remake of Invaders from Mars, playing the police chief. He died in 2025.
