Jay Robinson

Jay Robinson was an American actor known for character roles. Born in New York City, he took up acting after finding a scrapbook of his mother's dance career, and he started out in summer stock and repertory before playing Shakespeare on Broadway by the age of 19. His first screen part was Emperor Caligula in The Robe (1953), a role he repeated in Demetrius and the Gladiators (1954). He later played the boss of Warren Beatty's character in Shampoo (1975). He also took the role of Monroe Feather in Three the Hard Way (1974). In 1982 he appeared in Partners, and he later had a part in Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992). On television he starred as Dr. Shrinker and was a regular on Days of Our Lives. He hosted the Discovery Channel's Beyond Bizarre from 1997 to 2000.
