Plot summary

Five years on, Lou Dorchen runs Lougle and Nick Webber is a hit singer, while Jacob, Lou's son, wants nothing to do with his father. At Lou's mansion party, the lights cut out and a gunshot drops Lou. Nick and Jacob haul him up to the hot tub time machine, load it with nitrotrinadium and get blackout drunk. They wake in the same house ten years later, now Jacob's. The vial chamber holds no nitro, and a repairman tells them they are stranded. Jacob reasons that the shooter belongs to this future, so the three go to the home of their old friend Adam Yates, where his son Adam Yates-Steadmeyer, engaged to Jill, lives.
