James Tupper
Biography
Born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, James Tupper is a Canadian actor who studied at Concordia University in Montreal and later earned a master's degree at Rutgers University in New Jersey. He began his career in off-Broadway plays such as An Actor Prepares and After the Rain, and co-wrote and appeared in the improvised independent film Loudmouth Soup in 2005. On television, he played Jack Slattery across all 36 episodes of Men in Trees starting in 2006, then Dr. Chris Sands in Mercy for 22 episodes before its 2010 cancellation. He also appeared as Dr. Andrew Perkins in the seventh season of Grey's Anatomy. From 2011 to 2015, he portrayed David Clarke on Revenge, becoming a main cast member in the fourth season. He starred in and co-produced the post-apocalyptic series Aftermath in 2016, and took a supporting role on Big Little Lies from 2017 to 2019.
