Harriet Sansom Harris
Biography
Harriet Sansom Harris is an American actress whose career spans theater, television and film. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, she began acting as a child and trained at the Juilliard School before spending three years with The Acting Company. She worked extensively Off-Broadway and on Broadway, winning a 2002 Tony Award for her featured role in Thoroughly Modern Millie and earning Drama Desk nominations for Bella, Belle of Byelorussia and Jeffrey. On television she is known for playing Bebe Glazer on Frasier from 1993 to 2004 and Felicia Tilman on Desperate Housewives, with guest roles on The X-Files and other series. Her films include Addams Family Values (1993), Memento (2000), Nurse Betty (2000) and Phantom Thread (2017). She later appeared in Ratched and returned to Frasier in 2024.

Early training
After graduating from Juilliard, Harris joined The Acting Company, John Houseman's touring repertory company, and she remained with it for three years.
Big break
Harris appeared in the play Jeffrey, which brought her many guest spots on television. On the sitcom Frasier she played Bebe Glazer, Frasier's conniving agent, from 1993 to 2004.

Harris was the sole female cast member in the original cast of Paul Rudnick's play Jeffrey, one of her breakthrough performances.
