Don Knight
Biography
Don Knight was an English-born actor who worked largely in the United States and was often cast as a tough guy. Born in Manchester, Lancashire, he began acting at the age of seven and, after a short stint in the British Army, left England for Canada, where he studied at Sir George Williams University in Montreal. He earned degrees in fields including English, philosophy and drama. In 1965 he settled in the United States to work as an actor and spent his career as a character actor, making numerous guest appearances on American television series and holding a semi-regular role on The Immortal. His screen credits included the Disney film Treasure of Matecumbe (1976), in which he played Skaggs, and the PBS telefilm The Canterville Ghost. He died in 1997.
