Daliah Lavi

Daliah Lavi was an Israeli actress, singer, and model. Born in Haifa, she studied ballet in Stockholm and worked as a model before her screen career took off around 1960. She made her American film debut in Vincente Minnelli's Two Weeks in Another Town (1962), acting again with Kirk Douglas. Often cast as a scantily clad femme fatale, she appeared in Brunello Rondi's witch hunt film The Demon (1963), which she called her best work, and Mario Bava's The Whip and the Body (1963). Her other films included The Silencers (1966) with Dean Martin, Lord Jim (1965) as Peter O'Toole's love interest, Ten Little Indians (1965), and Casino Royale (1967) as The Detainer. After Lord Jim met a muted reception, she turned to music, beginning a German schlager singing career in 1970 with hits such as Oh Wann Kommst Du and Willst Du Mit Mir Gehn.
