Biography
Charlie Shotwell is an American actor who began working professionally at the age of six. Born in Madison, Wisconsin, he made his acting debut in 2015 with the war drama Man Down, as the on-screen son of characters played by Shia LaBeouf and Kate Mara. His first notable part came in Captain Fantastic (2016), as the youngest member of a survivalist family, and it earned him nominations for both SAG and Young Artist Awards. He went on to play the young Brian Walls in The Glass Castle (2017) and a young John Paul Getty III in All the Money in the World (2017), and he appeared in My Days of Mercy (2018) and The Nightingale (2018). He starred in the title role of the horror film Eli (2019) and in John and the Hole (2021), and played Joseph in Troop Zero (2019) and the young Michael Morbius in Morbius (2022).
