Plot summary
Eli Miller cannot go outside, because the open air sets off severe allergic reactions, so he lives in a protective suit. His mother and father, Rose and Paul, drive him to a medical facility that Dr. Isabella Horn runs in a secluded old house. There Eli is happy to take off the suit and to enjoy comforts that had been denied to him, and he begins a course of agonizing treatments. Supernatural events start in the house, and the word lie appears to him again and again. Haley, a teenage patient, is the only person who agrees with him that the place is haunted, and he befriends her.
