Caroline Munro
Biography
Caroline Munro is an English actress, model and singer who built a cult following in the horror and science fiction cinema of the 1970s and 1980s. Born in Windsor, Berkshire, she won a newspaper photo contest in 1966, which led to modeling for Vogue and minor film parts before a contract with Paramount. Hammer Films signed her after its chairman spotted her on a rum advertisement, and Dracula A.D. 1972 (1972) and Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter (1974) established her in horror circles. She played Margiana in The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1973) and Naomi in The Spy Who Loved Me (1977), then Starcrash (1978), The Last Horror Film (1982) and Slaughter High (1986). In 2019 the Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Awards inducted her into its Monster Kid Hall of Fame.

Munro was offered the part of Ursa, a supervillainess in Superman, in 1977, but she chose instead to appear as Naomi, a minion of the main villain, in The Spy Who Loved Me.
