Big break
After a year of studying and attending auditions, Neighbours casting director Jan Russ cast Stasey as Rachel Kinski in April 2005, with her first episode airing on 18 August.
A role that slipped away
Stasey withdrew from a planned CGI Wonder Boy movie to appear in Tomorrow, When the War Began, though her CGI character kept her face with a new voice.

Beyond film
Stasey and Dean Geyer, a castmate on Neighbours, sang two duets together. Their version of Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" appeared in an episode, and their rendition of "Unforgettable" hit number 40 on the ARIA Digital Tracks chart.
Early training
After she was cast as Rachel, Stasey quit Star of the Sea College, though she kept up her schooling through a distance education program.
