Amber Benson
Biography
Amber Benson is an American actress, writer, and director who also produces. She made her feature film debut at 14 in Steven Soderbergh's King of the Hill (1993) and became widely known for playing Tara Maclay on Buffy the Vampire Slayer from 1999 to 2002, singing in the show's musical episode. Benson co-wrote The Theory of the Leisure Class and directed, produced, and starred in Chance (2002) and Lovers, Liars & Lunatics (2006). She co-directed Drones (2010) with Adam Busch and appeared as a waitress in The Killing Jar (2010). Her other screen credits include Latter Days (2004) and Kiss the Bride (2007). Benson also wrote comics and novels, and she wrote, directed, and voiced the Audible series Slayers: A Buffyverse Story in 2023.
