Plot summary
Roy Colt and Winchester Jack ride together as outlaws, but neither man can make a living through crime, so Roy calls off the partnership and takes the post of sheriff in Carson City. The townsfolk there entrust him with a replica of a map said to mark a fortune in buried gold. His old partner Jack wants that map, and a gang of desperados is after it too. One of the two outlaws is in league with a priest who has turned crime lord, and a young Native American con-woman offers her help to both men and plays them against each other.
