Debby Huston sings rock and has her own career plans when she meets Darryl Palmer, a ballplayer for the Atlanta Braves. Darryl is enjoying the fame and the bachelor life, but he decides to settle down with her, and from that point his own career takes off. He pursues the single-season home run record and treats Debby as a good-luck charm, wanting her in the stands at his games. She is unwilling to put her own hopes on hold.
