Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- For many years the only confirmed copy was a video copy in Warwick Davis' own home entertainment center, shown only to close family, friends and colleagues; many fans had never even heard of the film until 1996, when Davis mentioned it in an interview for the Star Wars Insider magazine.
- George Lucas financed the film, though costs were limited to expenses such as film stock. "Everyone contributed their time and talent for absolutely nothing," Tomblin said of the people who made it.
- The highest-quality bootleg known of the entire film is a fan preservation project created in May 2005, which combines footage taken from the clip on StarWars.com with someone's camcorder recording from one of the film's public showings and clips culled from other sources, such as a brief excerpt shown on VH1.
