Plot summary
Tara Adams has told no one at Lincoln Bay High that she is Radio Rebel, the anonymous voice the city tunes in to hear. Her friends Audrey, Larry and Barry do not know. Gavin, the boy she likes, plays in a band called The G's with his friend Gabe, and they want a spot at prom. Tara's stepfather Rob runs SlamFM, and when he asks her about Radio Rebel she ends up doing her show at his station rather than in her bedroom. She has doubts until DJ Cami Q, another host there, gives her encouragement. Audrey is tired of Tara turning down her invitations, and Principal Moreno warns students that listening to the show will get them expelled.
