Plot summary
The Postal Dude loses his place at the unemployment office in Paradise, Arizona, and discovers that his wife is unfaithful. He approaches Uncle Dave, a con artist who leads a doomsday cult and owes more than a million dollars in back taxes. The Dude means to seize a shipment of Krotchy Dolls so that Dave can resell the rare plush toys online. Osama bin Laden and his Al-Qaeda group, hiding in Paradise since the September 11 attacks, plan to take the same shipment and spread avian influenza through the dolls before American children receive them.

- Director Uwe Boll got the rights to adapt the Postal video game after its German fan club contacted him; when Running with Scissors president Vince Desiderio and Postal 2 director Steve Wik pitched a much darker, grittier version, Boll rejected it in favor of a comedy meant as political satire and personal "revenge" against people who had protested his earlier films.
- A North American Blu-ray and DVD release of the 118-minute director's cut was planned for late 2008 but did not actually happen for another sixteen years.
