Pink Lake (2020) on Netflix

Plot summary

Sam and Cora have made a home in a cabin in the Gatineau hills of Quebec. Sam plants trees and works as a taxidermist, while Cora waits tables and writes poetry. Their routine changes when Nadia, a close friend of Sam's, comes to visit from out of town. Nadia's partner has left her, and she worries that she will never become a mother. She asks Sam to donate sperm so she can have a child, and says she would raise it by herself. Sam wants to help, in part because Cora has no interest in children and this may be his only chance at fatherhood. The two bring the plan to Cora, who gives her consent.
