Plot summary
Lyn and her daughter Iona are close, and each calls the other Dafty One and Dafty Two. They move to a small town in the Midlands for a new start. Iona meets a boy named Daz and starts dating him. After a tricky start at her new school, she falls in with Keeley, Stacie and Chelsea. Lyn, who is used to having Iona to herself, feels left out, and she looks for friends of her own, beginning with her neighbor Belinda.
