• Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare began as a film set entirely in Neverland, but Scott Chambers rewrote the script into a contained psychological horror after budgeting worries and a difficult shoot on Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2.
• Two hundred actors auditioned for the title role of Peter Pan, many of whose tapes simply "played evil"; Martin Portlock won the part after a makeup artist assistant suggested him and Chambers saw his headshot.
• After the film was completed, studio executives asked for the removal of a scene in which Michael Darling and Joey hold hands, but Chambers, himself from the LGBT community, refused and kept it in.
• Chambers meant for Peter Pan to greet the kidnapped boy James through a letterbox, but on spotting a trapdoor in the floorboards of the house they filmed in, he had Pan come up through the floor instead, making viewers think of It (2017).
• The scene where Peter Pan abducts Michael Darling was the film's only reshoot, because many child extras did not turn up and the crew could not create the scripted "chaotic" after-school scene in which Pan lures Michael with a drone.
• Tinker Bell was the hardest role to cast: Scott Chambers wanted a woman from the LGBT community, was stressed by the auditions and considered rewriting the character before Kit Green was found.
• Megan Placito was only just out of drama school when she auditioned for Wendy Darling, and because the script did not exist yet, several lines from Midsommar were used in her audition.
• Peter Pan's manor scenes were shot in an abandoned boys' school rumored to be haunted, and because everything there was filmed in daylight, the crew blackened windows and built blackout tents to fake the dark.
