Plot summary
For four years, Nica Pierce has been confined to an institution for the criminally insane, convinced that she, not a doll, killed her family. Her psychiatrist, Dr. Foley, has her transferred to a medium-security facility, where she joins patients Angela, Claire, Madeleine, who smothered her infant son, and Malcolm, who has dissociative identity disorder. Group therapy introduces a Good Guy doll, which Madeleine treats as her baby. Tiffany Valentine, the guardian of Nica's niece Alice, then visits and leaves a second doll behind. Elsewhere, Andy Barclay keeps the severed head of Chucky in a safe and has been tormenting it for four years.
