Plot summary

A mutated rabies passed from animals to humans. More than seven billion people are dead or infected, and anyone bitten turns rabid within ninety seconds. Morgan and Janet, his wife, were attacked while they were driving. Both were bitten, but Morgan stayed human and can speak the language of the infected. He now lives in an underground nuclear base alongside civilians, U.S. military personnel and CDC scientists. There he works with Dr. Gina Rose, a virologist, and the two interrogate infected captives, hoping to identify Patient Zero and devise a cure. Tension runs between Morgan, Gina and Colonel Knox, who is drawn to Gina. Janet is held in the base, treated with an experimental therapy made from Morgan's blood.
