Plot summary
Out of rehab for body image issues and an eating disorder, Riley waits for her mother Olivia to collect her, but Olivia never arrives. She calls her best friend Casey, who invites her to a bar, where she greets Casey's boyfriend Justin and meets his roommate Ethan. The two leave for dinner, and Riley explains that her twelve-step program discourages romantic relationships in her first year out of rehab; Ethan accepts this. She takes him to her apartment anyway, then stops short of undressing because she is insecure about her body. Ethan stays and builds a fort there. In therapy, Dr. Akerman suggests that her time with Ethan may be another way of numbing her insecurities, like compulsive eating or starving, and Riley denies it.
