Plot summary
Harry Papadopoulos, a Greek immigrant, presides over a food industry empire, a mansion, awards and a lavish lifestyle. On the eve of a property deal, a banking crisis hits and the banks demand their loans back, and the family is ruined. The one asset left is a neglected fish and chip shop called the Three Brothers, which Harry shares ownership of with his brother Spiros and which has sat closed for years. Spiros has long been apart from the family. Harry moves his children, James, Katie and Theo, and their nanny Mrs. Parrington into the rooms above the shop, and they begin bringing it back to life. Hassan, whose kebab shop stands next door, watches with suspicion, and Hassan's son takes an interest in Katie. Harry argues with the banks to rebuild what he lost.

Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Papadopoulos & Sons (2012)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- The crew found a street with two empty shops in Morden, South London and took the lease on them, turning one into the chip shop The Three Brothers and the other into the rival kebab shop, while the Papadopoulos factory was set in a real Greek food factory in East London.
- The film was inspired by Marcus Markou's own family history: he came from a very tight-knit Greek-Cypriot family that broke apart as everyone grew older, and said he had also lost many of his Hellenic roots, which fueled his desire to focus on family unity.
