Plot summary
Jackie and her husband Sean live on an island they had hoped would be paradise. Their hopes fade as Jackie's father Robert changes. He looks and sounds like the man she adored, yet he seems to have lost his heart and soul, and he no longer recognizes himself or the family around him. Others feel the strain of his changing nature too. Then Sean loses his job, and the couple's footing goes: debts, deceit and alcohol unsettle the relationship. Jackie is caught between her marriage and her father, unsure whether they must leave him behind for the marriage to survive. Robert loves the mountains, and going there may be dangerous, yet it could be where he finds the sunset he longs for.
