Ombis: Alien Invasion (2013) on Netflix

Plot summary

Metzburgh is a village whose good years ended when the grain mills shut down. Mark Lowe and Lucy Greenheart, his ex-girlfriend, are in the middle of an argument when a meteorite lands in the community. Glen, who once worked the silos and has been homeless since they closed, comes upon the fiery crash and gets too close. The meteorite sprays a chemical poison over him; the agent, Ombis, starts changing his insides into a slimy substance. The spread will not stop, so he flees, and Mark and Lucy come across him. They bring him to Doctor D, and they reach the local sheriff, Thomas Brackett, who is on a date with a waitress named Daisy.
