Plot summary
A video from Dane, Jade's ex-boyfriend, dares Jade, her sister Alice, Sam, Billy and Spencer to visit the old research facility that stands on a lake island in Maine. Rangers Pennie and Travis bring them over by boat. On the island the group finds the corpse of Gomez, a friend of Dane, up in a tree, and Dane's camera, which holds footage of him speaking about a man named Henderson before something attacks him. They try to leave, but the boat drifts off with Travis aboard, and a rope drags Pennie into the water. Something in the lake attacks Travis, Sam pulls Pennie out with an injured leg, and the group is stranded.
