In 1993, Andy and Lisa Wyrick move with their daughter Heidi into an old house in the countryside of Pine Mountain, Georgia. Not long after the family settles in, strange things begin happening in the house, and Heidi starts seeing a man named Mr. Gordy. Lisa begins having visions she had tried to avoid. Her sister Joyce, who is free-spirited and reckless, asks to stay in a trailer on the property, and she pushes Lisa to accept her ability rather than suppress it.
