Plot summary
Eleven short films set around New York City follow people looking for love. Ben, a pickpocket, is drawn to Molly and clashes with Garry, her married lover. Mansuhkhbai, a Jain diamond wholesaler, and Rifka, a Jewish diamond retailer marrying the next day, find they share more than the trade. David edits music for a video by Abarra and falls for Camille, Abarra's assistant, though the two have spoken only by telephone about work. A young man tries to convince a woman that the moment they shared lighting her cigarette promises a future. A high school senior, dumped before prom, receives a gift from his pharmacist, Mr. Riccoli. Gus and Lydia head to a first real date after a one night stand. Isabelle, a retired opera diva, revisits a hotel and its young bellhop. Anna and Alex meet by chance.
