Plot summary
In the near future, the very rich can jaunt through time, and the shifts it causes are common. Nick Mikkelsen works as an architect, and his wife Janine is a photographer. After the third time shift in a year, Nick feels something is off. He suspects they once had a dog, and now they have a cat. He blames Janine's ex-husband Tommy, a college friend of his, for changing the past to win her back. Janine no longer loves Tommy, but Nick's obsession with him annoys her. Nick visits Tommy to learn if he has been meddling with the past.
