Plot summary
SFC Travis Fox is on his sixth combat deployment with his best friend, Ron "Preach" Pearcy, when an improvised explosive device kills Preach and the rest of their Ranger platoon. Travis goes back to his hometown, where his parents' house stands empty; a car accident three years earlier killed them both. Going through what they left behind, he searches for a handcrafted necklace he made in Saudi Arabia and cannot find it. He starts looking for answers, and post-traumatic stress is one obstacle he meets. Tiffany Robertson, a counselor at his church, offers him support, and his faith in God begins to return.
