Plot summary
Seth Webster is an architect raising his twin sons, Jason and Judd, alone since his wife died in a car crash. The boys are six, and their mischief has driven off every housekeeper the agency sent. Mrs. Merkle turns up with no explanation of where she came from, and she minds the boys and the house so well that her name becomes Mrs. Miracle. She also turns her attention to Seth's life away from his job, pushing him to date again and steering him toward Reba Maxwell, who is as reluctant about it as he is. The matchmaking runs through the Christmas show at the boys' school.
