Plot summary
Monster High has a centuries-old tradition built around the Skultimate Roller Maze, a roller-skating competition in which the losing team hands over its crest. In the latest game the Granite High Gargoyles cheated, and Monster High lost its crest; without it the school is falling apart. Winning it back is urgent, but so many players were hurt in the last game that there are not enough left to skate. Several girls decide to take on the Gargoyles, and the boys object, arguing that only boys can properly compete and bringing up Robecca Steam, a girl who played and was said to have been killed and never seen again. Frankie Stein and the others begin practicing, slowly improving.
