Plot summary
Lara, a Russian immigrant housewife, is convinced her husband Lawson, a military policeman turned cop, is more married to his job than to her, and after a heated argument she walks out of their house and drives off into the night. She intends to spend the night at a friend's house, but on the road she takes pity on Justin Mckay, a mournful stranger who is desperately searching for a ride, and offers him a lift. The lift turns into a night of terror. Lawson, with a leg in a cast, struggles to follow his wife, searching the steadily darkening roads for her.
