Plot summary
Hank Peck is a veteran and Mickey's single father. Mickey, a teenager in Anaconda, Montana, takes responsibility for him and works to keep their household afloat. Their relationship is loving and, at times, volatile. Mickey is strong-willed, and she wants her own identity and independence. That search would risk her family, heartbreak and her standing in the place she calls home.
