Plot summary
Over two nights in September 2001, Michael Jackson takes the stage at Madison Square Garden in New York City to mark thirty years as a solo entertainer, a span that reaches back to 1971, when "Got to Be There" became his debut solo release. Both concerts sell out within two hours, and the best seats, which include VIP access, bring a signed poster and a dinner with Jackson. Singers, actors and athletes join him onstage, and songs from the album Invincible appear in his live set. Footage from the two performances is edited into a two-hour television special that CBS airs later that year.
