Plot summary
A strain of genetically modified piranha has gotten loose in an isolated tributary of the Orinoco River in Venezuela. Interference with the local environment lets the fish out of that spot, and they swim downstream, killing everything in their path as they head north while the tourist season peaks. A team that includes Special Agent Jason Fitch and Sarah Monroe works to keep the megapiranha inside Venezuela. Trying to cross the Venezuelan border without clearance or documentation brings trouble with the authorities, and Colonel Antonio Diaz chases them through the jungle at high speed. When their helicopter runs out of fuel, Sarah Monroe connects the emergency oxygen supply to the fuel system so that they can reach the International Super Bunker.
