Mass (2021) on Netflix

Plot summary

Six years on from a high school shooting, four parents sit down together at an Episcopal church. Jay and Gail Perry lost their son Evan in the attack. Richard and Linda are the parents of Hayden, the teenage gunman. The two couples have met once before, during the court proceedings that followed the shooting, when Jay and Gail spoke hurtfully to Richard and Linda. Jay has since campaigned for gun control, which brings a short argument with Richard. In the room the four trade memories of their sons as small children and compare what they know about the years before the attack. Jay and Gail ask Richard and Linda about Hayden's upbringing, seeking something beyond the public record of the case.
