Plot summary
Four masked robbers take three million dollars in cash from a Hubert National Bank branch in Cincinnati, and their leader shoots the branch manager, Steven Hutchinson, at close range. FBI Special Agent Jonathan Montgomery runs the robbery and homicide investigation with Cincinnati police, working with agents Stockwell and Wells. A fingerprint from the scene is matched to TJ Jackson, an Army Ranger listed as killed in 2011, when his unit was reported to have gone rogue after seizing a civilian named Alexander Hubert for ransom. Alexander's brother, Jeffrey Hubert, now leads Hubert International. The stolen bills lead the bureau to a City Mission charity fund. A later robbery at another branch takes cash and the contents of safe deposit boxes held by Hubert and by Senator Cook.
